Information relating to sustainability
Generali Investments CEE regards social responsibility as one of its priorities. Supporting activities that benefit society as a whole is an indispensable aspect of our approach to doing business. Our care and support extends to several different areas, among them helping the physically handicapped and socially disadvantaged, protecting the environment, as well as creating a level playing field and good working conditions for our own employees. Last but not least, as an investment company we focus, among other areas, on the "green economy".
In line with current trends, Generali Investments CEE also actively contributes to the implementation of the so-called ESG goals, where
- "E" refers to the monitoring of environmental factors affecting sustainability (e.g. monitoring of carbon footprint, greenhouse gas emissions, water pollution, etc.),
- "S" relates to aspects linked mainly to the protection and respect of human rights, fair labour relations, etc., and
- "G" focuses on the promotion of responsible corporate governance - typically in terms of legal compliance, appropriate remuneration of managers and workers, gender balance in governing bodies, etc.
A concrete manifestation of compliance with the above principles is the classification of the Stable Growth Fund as financial product under Article 8 of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 on sustainability-related disclosures in the financial services sector, i.e. the SFDR. This regulation represents a single European standard for assessing the sustainability performance of financial products, and by subscribing to this standard, Generali Investments CEE voluntarily accepts its commitment to conduct its own business in a socially responsible manner.
