Challenge raised by #rozdychejto: Generali Investments CEE with Běhej lesy (Run through Forests) helped hospitals raise more than CZK half million
In the previous month, Generali Investments CEE along with the Běhej lesy 3000 (Run through Forests) initiative joined a charity challenge issued by #rozdychejto when each participant breathed in 3000 litres of air into his / her own lungs through sporting activities, and by this effort, and with financial aid, supported pulmonary departments of regional hospitals. As we decided to also support this challenge financially we have doubled the amount collected from participants. The challenge is over, so let us now look back together at this challenge in numbers.
The challenge was accepted by 1,284 participants. This is the same number as the number of trees that Lesy České republiky* are going to plant on behalf of each participant for our green lungs. It may take sombebody’s breath away, however breath was not anything the participants lacked; they breathed in 3,852,000 litres of air into their lungs in support of 4 regional hospitals in Břeclav, Benešov, Jihlava and Karlovy Vary, and withdrew CZK 259,450 from their piggy banks. And we, Generali Investments CEE, added the same amount, so we jointly collected an unbelievable sum of CZK 518,900.
“We are very happy to be able to join this project, a project providing aid where it's most needed. In Generali Investments CEE we really care about the current situation and we are trying to find ways to actively get ourselves involved and provide best aid,” explains Josef Beneš, Chief Executive Officer in Generali Investments CEE. Representatives from Generali Investments and Běhej lesy will personally hand over the final amounts in the hospitals.
